Theda MCGinley

March 3, 1932 — November 6, 2020

Theda Eloise McGinley, 88 years old of Corona, CA, passed away on November 6,2020 in Alta Loma, CA. She was born to Ray Ewing and Marion Ewing on March 3, 1932 in Oberlin, Kansas. Her sister Melba passed away during infancy. Theda grew up with her brothers –Duane and Eldon. At the age of 18 she met her soon to be loving husband Vincent Bernard McGinley; and together had a wonderful 52 years of marriage. Out of this came 6 beautiful children- Kathleen Gruber, Ron McGinley, Gary McGinley, Bruce McGinley, Bryan McGinley, and Scott McGinley. Theda had 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren. Her family was big but she always made time for each and every one of them.
Theda was a woman of education. She attended Hillsboro High School where she graduated in 1950. After high school she attended Oregon College of Education. After moving to California, she started working at Zody’s. Theda became a department manager at Zody’s and later at Marshals
Theda loved to sew, garden, and occasionally just sit and read. These were her main hobbies and even something so small like watering her flowers brought her incredible joy. Theda is predeceased by her husband Vincent and her son, Gary. However, she is survived by her 5 children; Kathleen Gruber, Ron McGinley, Bruce McGinley, Bryan McGinley, and Scott McGinley. Theda will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts.
