Vertice L. Davis, 80 years old, of Fontana, California, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 in Fontana.
She was born March 10, 1940 in Wilmot, Arkansas to President and Martha Riser. She attended Myles
High School in Sterlington, Louisiana where she graduated.
Vertice was married to Elmer Davis, and together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage.
From their union, they were blessed with 3 beautiful children: Charles, Sylvia, and La-Keisha.
Vertice worked in King City, California at Basic Vegetable Products L.P. for over 30 years. She had many hobbies which included cooking, sewing, crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite T.V. shows: soap operas and 90 Day Fiancé. Vertice had a team player mentality and wanted to help in the community. It was for those reasons that she joined Local Teamsters 890.
Vertice is predeceased by her loving father President Riser SR who passed away in July 1997, loving mother Martha Riser in December 2004, loving Brothers Preston Riser, Charles Riser, and her caring husband Elmer Davis in July 2013.
She is survived by her children Charles (Doris) Riser, Sylvia (Jubal) Jones, and La-Keisha Davis; 7 grandchildren, 5 siblings; Joe Riser, Alice Hodoh, President Riser JR, Eula Riser, and Eunice Riser. Vertice Davis was a loving soul and will be missed by all who knew her.
