Epifania Cruz Banadera April 7, 1942 — April 28, 2024

Epifania Cruz Banadera, affectionately known as Penny to her loved ones, peacefully
passed away on April 28, 2024, after bravely battling cancer, surrounded by her family
at their home in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She was 82 years old. Penny is
survived by her husband, three children with their spouses, and six grandchildren.
Born on April 7, 1942, in a small village in Pasig, Philippines, to Dionisio and Caleta
Cruz, Penny spent most of her life in her homeland until 2005 when she and her
devoted spouse, Conrado, made the move to California. They shared 56 years of
cherished marriage.
Penny will be remembered not only for her striking beauty but also for her kind heart
and humility. She was the cornerstone of her family—a dedicated wife and mother who
made homemaking her priority. Her home was always a sanctuary of cleanliness and
order. Renowned for her culinary skills, her "adobo" and "pancit" were favorites among
friends. Additionally, she excelled in sewing, dressmaking, crochet, and gardening.
Penny enjoyed dancing, playing Bingo with friends, and listening to music by Patti Page,
Patsy Cline, and Elvis Presley. Despite humble beginnings, Penny and Conrado
ensured their children received a quality education, propelling them into successful
professional careers. Penny took immense pride in her children, serving as their guiding
light and a source of courage, inspiration, and strength.
Penny fought valiantly against cancer, driven by her love for her family. However, it was
God's plan to relieve her suffering and welcome her into His embrace. Though her
absence brings sorrow to those left behind, they find solace in knowing she now resides
in a place of eternal peace.

A Celebration of Penny’s Life will be held as follows:
