Esequiel Ramirez

Surrounded by family, Esequiel Barron Ramirez affectionately known as Zeke, 77, passed away on July 1, 2023 at his longtime residence in Riverside, California. Esequiel was born on November 14, 1945 in Riverside, California to his late parents Dionicio Ramirez and Francisca Barron Ramirez.
Esequiel is preceded in death by sister Pauline Alvarez, sister Ignacia Ramirez, brother Ernesto “Neto” Ramirez, brother Angel Ramirez, sister Francis Ramirez, brother Raymond Ramirez, brother Dionicio “Donny” Ramirez Jr and his beloved son Esequiel “Checo” Ramirez Jr.
Esequiel is survived by Diane Hara, 54, his longtime partner and confidant.
Zeke will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Arlene, Regina, Alexis, Alyssa and Angelica. He is also survived by his siblings: sister Josefina Perez; sister Honoria Garavito; brother Robert Ramirez; sister Lupe Jaramillo and brother Danny Ramirez.
Esequiel was a lifelong resident of Riverside, California. He provided for his family as a construction laborer and painter. When he wasn’t working Zeke loved spending time with his family. He relished the simple pleasures of life and none gave him more pride and joy than being a girl dad to five daughters. Esequiel was a lifelong sports fan and enthusiast. In his younger days he would gather with friends to play softball and on a couple of occasions he played on teams with his brothers Neto and Robert. In his leisure he loved watching local professional sports including the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Lakers. But the one professional sports team he was most passionate about was his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.
Esequiel was a man of faith, he was a spiritual, good, kind and gentle person who accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior in 2003. He remained a faithful and devoted Christian the remainder of his life. He was a wonderful father and brother who will be truly missed.
