Henry Richard Lee passed away July 21, 2023 in Fontana, California at the age of 86.
Henry was born April 26, 1937 to Henry and Frances Moore Lee in Grand Junction, Colorado.
When Henry was small the family moved to Lindsey, California where he attended school.
In 1957 Henry joined the Air Force and was stationed at Chanute AFB, Illinois and trained in aircraft maintenance. After tech school he was stationed at Hickam AFB, Hawaii where he spent the rest of his enlistment as an aircraft mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1960.
Henry married Janette Faye Bruce August 26,1959 and they shared 64 years together. They raised a beautiful family of four daughters and one son, Cynthia Renee, Lynette Jean, Randall Scott, Nancy Jeanine and Danita Ann and an adopted daughter Kimberly.
Henry worked several jobs before working at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company for many years. He took his retirement from there and worked several years at Truth Tabernacle performing building and grounds maintenance. After that he worked at Sam’s Club as a greeter and had so many friends and acquaintances who fondly remember him.
In 1969, Henry had the greatest experience of his life. He received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost after being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins. This change affected every aspect of his life. From that time on Henry’s total focus in life was to live his life in God’s will. He was very active in the churches he attended. Wherever God led him, he was a faithful servant. He loved studying the Bible and taught many Bible studies. He worked in several areas of ministry teaching Sunday School, driving Sunday School buses, served as Sunday School Superintendent and outreach and witnessing. He was busy serving and volunteering in any area he could be used. If there was anything going on at the church, you could find Henry in the middle of it. Henry was a faithful member of Inland Lighthouse Church in Rialto for 22 years.
Henry was very good at handyman work and fixing things. If it could be fixed, Henry could fix it. He had a love for woodworking and made many projects of tables or shelves for family and friends. He was very mechanical and could work on his own car or for other people. He had a love for reading. He never knew a stranger and loved sharing his love for Jesus. His favorite meal was spaghetti and was always up for ice cream.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law Tom Hadaway. He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Janette, daughters Cynthia and husband Arlin Pierce, Lynette and husband Don Smith, Nancy Hadaway, Danita and husband Damon Morris, a son Randy and wife Rhonda and adopted daughter Kimberly and husband Rick Moore, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren with on on the way, three brothers and a sister and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
