Ramon Viveros

January 6, 1941 — September 15, 2023

Ramon S. Viveros, 82 years old of Fontana, passed away on September 15, 2023 in Montclair, CA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Emeteria and Salvadore Viveros on January 6, 1941 in Fontana and was a lifelong resident.
Ramon attended and graduated from Fontana High School. He later met and married the love of his life, Gloria. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage and had two wonderful children who were the joy of his life. He was a wonderful father who attended all his children’s school functions and activities. He was always there for them. Ramon was a man who wanted the best for his children and taught them many life lessons which greatly impacted their adult life. He later was blessed with four grandchildren who were the light of his life.
In Ramon’s eyes, his grandchildren were his greatest love of all. His immense love was always evident, whether it was the simple moments with them, often becoming the most priceless memories. To Ramon, the most precious jewels he could ever have around his neck were the arms of his grandchildren.
Ramon had great character as he was such a giving person and was loved by his nieces and nephews. He was the favorite uncle and always had time to talk to them with words of support and love. He always championed for the less fortunate as well as strangers in the homeless community. He often said, “That could easily be us, so if I’m able to help I’m going to help others”. Whether monetarily or literally giving his shoes or clothes off his back, he always blessed someone in their time of need.
In his pastime, he enjoyed the serenity and beauty of gardening. He was always known for having that “green thumb” in his garden with many plants and flowers from his favorite vacation spot, the Hawaiian Islands. He always wanted a little piece of Hawaii at home. He was a member of the Fohi GridIron Football Club. He also liked going to car shows and enjoyed time fixing his cars.
Ramon loved to travel. He had an affinity for the Hawaiian Islands and frequently visited them annually with his loving family by his side. The memories made during this time were priceless to him. Being around family, experiencing new adventures and living life to the fullest brought him so much joy and happiness.
Ramon provided for his family by working in the aerospace industry. He worked as an assembler for Rohr Aircraft and later for B.F. Goodrich for 45 years. He had such an impact on the job site and with so many co-workers, that he developed lifelong friendships with his co-workers and their families. Many celebrations and holidays were shared together, bringing good memories to light.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Daniel, Sal, Ruben, and John. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Gloria Viveros; son, Gilbert Viveros, daughter Yvonne Quiroz; 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Arianna, Lucas, and Miranda; and siblings David, Leonard, Alice, Helen, and Rosalie.
