Wilma Oakley

February 18, 1955 — March 27, 2018

Wilma Jean Oakley, known to everyone as "Jean", passed away on March 27, 2018 in Fontana. She was 63 years young. Jean was born February 18, 1955 in Duarte, California. Her parents were Keith LeRoy DeSherlia and Patricia Jean Clark, both of Illinois.
Jean had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laughter about her. It’s said that her laugh was so big, her curly blonde hair would sometimes dance wildly about her head. You couldn’t help but join in.
In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing. Oh but no matter what her age, Jean always had time to enjoy a cold Pepsi. She graduated from Sahuaro High School and walked with the class of 1973.
One of Jean's favorite pastimes was catching up with family and friends on Facebook. Jean loved her family dearly and absolutely loved her grandchildren; or as she put it, "I love, Love, LOVE my grandkids!" She was a member of Soka Gakkai International (Buddist), known as SGI-USA, for over 30 years. Jean was a supporter and member of the Republican Party. She spent the last 12 years living in Riverside.
Jean had a strong work ethic and worked as a warranty specialist for 20 years. For the past 12 years, Jean shared her life and enjoyed a loving relationship with her significant other, Dan Feldman. They managed to fit a lifetime of love and laughter into their time together.
Jean is survived by her daughter Kelly Renee Oakley, mother Patricia J. Sims, significant other Dan Feldman, and grandchildren Alarah and Aiden Alcala. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jo Finn, and brothers Jim (Teresa) DeSherlia, John DeSherlia, and Jeff DeSherlia. She is preceded in death by her father Keith DeSherlia.
